The Chef Shop is the place I go when selecting cutting edge Chef Apparel for my establishment. As the Executive Chef of the Garrett Club in Buffalo, New York, and a Member of the American Culinary Federation, I am always on the look out for unique Chef Jackets for myself and kitchen staff. When attending ACF conferences across the United States, I am always stopped by fellow chefs commenting on my unique Chef Coat from the Chef Shop. The Chef Jackets are top notch and very durable for the long days in the kitchen. So the Garret Club chefs look good all day long!!! I am very satisfied with the quality, knowledable staff and friendly customer service. When I want superior Chef wear and apparel, the Chef shop is the place to go. (J. When somebody tells you that it can't be got, just call The Chef Shop. They always go the extra mile and seem to delight in sourcing the products that other companies just don't stock. We have been using them for about 4 years. I can highly recommend this company ( P. Mc Sorley Belfast)

I visited your shop in Belfast last week while I was on a weekend trip with my friend. Your friendly staff recommended that I write an email to you with my specific question. Your staff (both of them actually) were extremely helpful but could not answer my question, which is probably a very easy question for you - being a chef.I have been trying to bake scones (as I know them from several trips to England, served with clotted cream and jam) and have tried several recipes (most of them found on the internet) but I am not really happy with the result. Your staff pointed me to several books they had in stock, all of these books were suggesting to use "self-raising flour". Now, we are probably old-fashioned over here in Germany, but I can not buy such a thing as self-rainsing flour over here, only plain, regular flour. While still in Belfast I went to Tesco to compare ingredients of the self raising flour, baking powder and regular flour because I thought, the self-raising flour is probably just regular flour with baking powder already added. Well, my chemistry classes at school are too long ago, I am not sure if my assumption is correct.
Kind regards from Munich
